Delicious Ice Candy

Ice Candy is my favorite cold dessert when I was a kid. The reason why I like it was because of its variety of flavors using fruits.  Ice candy is a frozen juice actually but sometimes a mix of milk makes this dessert extra special. Another thing that makes this enticing is the different range of colors, because of the fruit that they used as a flavor.

In a sari-sari store, ice candies are stored in a styrofoam-box to prevent them from melting.  Styrofoam box also helps reduce the cost of electricity bill, Why?, because by closing and opening the fridge (just to get one piece of ice candy) a cold air inside the fridge will be released; in return fridge’ temperature will be decreased and a motor will run to reproduce the maintained temperature.

Some vendors use food color just to make ice candy attractive to children. But if you are making your own ice candy for your kids at home, it’s better to use a natural and real fruit flavor, they are not just enjoying the cold ice candies but they are also getting a certain amount of nutrients from the flavor.
